Houston Rockets vs. Minnesota Timberwolves
The top seeded at the Eastern Conference Division Houston Rockets now took a 2-0 advantage against the Minnesota Timberwolves with the final score of 102-82 last Wednesday.
The Rockets played with a home court advantage and won two straight games.
Being the top seeded team at the Eastern Conference, the Houston Rockets again prove themselves that they are definitely a team to beat this NBA season. They were able to win two consecutive games against the Timberwolves and now with a 2-0 advantage at the 1st round playoff series.
As expected, the team relied on their key players like their point guard Chris Paul who scored 27 points, Gerald Green with 21 point (career high in playoff), Trevor Ariza added 15 points and NBA MVP contender James Harden scored 12 points for the game.
For the Minnesota, the leading scorer is Nemanja Bjelica scored 16, Andrew Wiggins had 13 points, Jimmy Butler added 11 points and Derrick Rose with 9 points.
The Timberwolves actually led the first quarter, but failed to sustain their intensity as the game goes by and that gave the Rockets the opportunity to control the tempo in sealing their victory.
