Joel Embiid to Miss Game 1 in Playoff Series, Obtained Orbital Fracture
The injury of Philadelphia 76ers Joel Embiid is not serious and according to the reports, he might be just out of the game 1 in their playoff series.
The 7-foot tall center obtained an eye injury last Wednesday against the Knicks.
According from the reported news online, the price center of the Philadelphia 76ers will only miss the 1st game of their playoff series at the ongoing 2017-2018 NBA season. He injured his eye and suffered from orbital fracture last Wednesday against the New York Knicks.
The 76ers won the game that time with a final score of 118-101.
As detailed the report of ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the team is hopeful that their center will be suiting up after just 2 weeks. Embiid is an important factor for the Philadelphia because they will be playing in the playoffs after a long time of waiting.
The team had been playing well lately and they should be excited about it.
On the other hand, Brett Brown is not giving any specific date on the return of the 24-year-old center from Yaounde in Cameroon. They still need to wait for the completion of his evaluation before they decide if he must undergo surgical procedure.
“After the swelling goes down and whenever the operation happens we’ll all have a better feeling of accurate news,” said Brown to the reporters as quoted by the news. “Right now we don’t have any information,” he added.
Brown is the head coach of the Philadelphia 76ers.
Currently, the team is on the 4th spot of the Eastern Conference division and their close rival is the Indiana Pacers.
