The San Antonio Spurs defeated the Houston Rockets that is currently the top team in the Western Conference division with the final score of 100-83.

With a much-needed win, the Spurs now improved their record at 45-32.

The San Antonio Spurs managed to defeat the Western Conference division leader Houston Rockets in win that they badly need before the upcoming 2017-2018 NBA playoff series this month.

The Spurs relied on their center LaMarcus Aldridge who led the team in scoring with 23 points, grabbed 14 rebounds and 2 assists for the game.

The other players who scored in double figures include Rudy Gay scoring 21 points, Patty Mills with 14, Dejounte Murray added 13 points and Danny Green scored 12 points. They were able to control the game and snap the Rockets 11 consecutive wins.

As for the Rockets with current 62-15 records, the top scorer is their star point guard James Harden with 25 points, Eric Gordon added 18, Clint Capela and Gerald Green with 11 points apiece.

The team played without Chris Paul who is suffering from a sore left leg; while the Spurs continue to play without star forward Kawhi Leonard.

On Tuesday, the Los Angeles Clippers hosts the visiting San Antonio Spurs and the Washington Wizards hosts the visiting Houston Rockets on the same day.
