Miami Heat vs. Denver Nuggets
The Miami Heat needed a double overtime game against the resistant Denver Nuggets before sealing their victory on Monday night with the final score of 149-141.
The Heat played without their star Dwayne Wade due to hamstring injury.
Both the Miami Heat and Denver Nuggets showed their toughness until the final buzzer of the second overtime and fought toe-to-toe before the deciding point of the game where the Heat assured their 38th win for this NBA season.
The team had relied to some of their other key played like James Johnson who finished the game with 31 points (career high) and Kelly Olynyk scored 30 points coming off the bench. Both played truly showed enough courage to deny the Nuggets in stealing the victory.
The other players for the Heat who scored in double figure include Wayne Ellington with 23, Goran Dragic added 20 points, Josh Robinson scored 17 and Justise Winslow added 11 points for the game.
As for the Nuggets, they now absorbed their 33rd lose for this season.
Center Nikola Jokic led the team with 34 points, Wilson Chandler added 26, Jamal Murray finished with 23, Will Barton scored 22 points, Paul Millsap added 14 and Devin Harris with 13.
The victory of the Heath with 149 points is their new franchise best in history.
