Martin Nguyen vs. Eduard Folayang

With his impressive and stunning performance inside the Octagon on Friday night, Martin Nguyen devastated his opponent Eduard Folayang with a huge knockout punch to win the ONE Lightweight Championship title.
He knocked Folayang out in the 2nd round of their match.
The recently concluded Legends of the World tournament for the ONE Championship at the Mall of Asia in Pasay City displayed the impressive performance of Martin Nguyen after beating his rival with a powerful spinning heel kick and solid right punch, which left the 32-year-old Filipino MMA fighter sleeping on the canvas.
With his victory, the 28-year-old Martin now improved his professional record to 10-1. As for Eduard, he now dropped his record to 8-6 and need to recuperate for his future.
“Hats off to Eduard, he showed relentlessness,” Nguyen stated as quoted by the inquirer.net online.
Both fighters are good friends outside the octagon and the Australian fighter admitted that he felt sad for knocking out Eduard.
The fighter from Australia likewise stated, “Honestly I’m really hurt, I never wanted someone I know get through that.” He continued saying, “We put our friendship aside but I couldn’t help but feel hurt after what happened to him.”
Martin is now a two-division World champion of the promotion for winning both the lightweight and featherweight titles.
His opponent showed aggressiveness during the opening round, but failed to sustain his intensity and this gave Nguyen a chance to control the momentum heading to the second round. He successfully defeated the Filipino fighter with a devastating knockout.
