Tony Ferguson vs. Kevin Lee
Ferguson choked Lee in the 3rd round of the fight and now crowned as the new interim lightweight champion.
With his victory on Saturday evening, the new titleholder for the lightweight division improved his record to 23-3 (MMA) and 13-1 (UFC). Not only he has the championship belt, Ferguson likewise earned a huge payout amounting to $500,000 in total cash prize.
The disclosed figure came from the information released by the Nevada Athletic Commission, which include the names of the MMA fighters and their earnings.
The loser Kevin Lee however still got a decent $250,000 cash prize after the bout.
Ferguson also known as “El Cucuy” however is now eager to face Conor McGregor and even sent a statement to him that he would haunt McGregor’s dreams and calling him a kid as well. He added that if ever UFC President Dana White that they should fight with each other, the newly crowned champion said that he is ready for the call.
Now and millions of UFC and MMA fans will be waiting for the respond of McGregor after the call out of Ferguson to him.
The UFC 216 is a success and this is the reason why many people now are following the scheduled fights because this tournament is becoming more exciting than boxing.
