In the very controversial decisions from the judges on Saturday evening at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, the fight between Saul “Canelo” Alvarez and Gennady “GGG” Golovkin came to a draw. This someone gained different reactions from many boxing experts and observers who saw the bout.

Many believe that that the boxer from Kazakhstan Golovkin should have won the fight because of showing more control and furiousness inside the boxing ring. However, the scorecards of the judges did not favor him because the decision for the bout is a draw.

With this result, GGG still holds the middleweight championships for the IBF, WBC and WBA. Both fighters had waiting longer to meet each other and the fight on Saturday night somehow revealed unwanted speculations about announcing the scorecards of the three judges for the fight.

From the shared information online, the judges scored the bout 118-110 (Alvarez) from Adalaide Byrd, 115-113 (Golovkin) from Dave Moretti and 114-114 from Don Trella that drew the decision.

The 35-year-old champion boxer from Kazakhstan displayed a great performance inside the ring against his 27-year-old Mexican counterpart. Unfortunately, it seems that the judges did not favor what they saw and resulted in a controversial decision.

According to GGG, his focus in on his belts and remained as the champion after the controversial fight on Saturday. He added that it is not his fault why the judges gave such scores and thanked the people who continue supporting him.

When asked about the possible rematch, the Mexican boxer responded with willingness to accept the rematch if the people want them to fight again.

Like former heavy weight champion Lennox Lewis, he picked GGG as the winner of the fight, but Alvarez showed intensity to come back in the late rounds. He added that both fights are considered winners.
