From the latest sports news online, 39-year-old German tennis player Tommy Haas defeated Swiss Roger Federer at the Stuttgart Open in Germany on Wednesday. Haas successfully kept his momentum and managed to seal his victory via 2-6, 7-6(8) and 6-4 scoring per set.
According to Tommy when interviewed by the media, he is still in shock after defeating Federer and felt speechless after winning the match. He is currently at the 302nd position in the world ranking.
Both tennis players had been competing with each other for the past few years and Federer got a better record against Haas who only defeated him 4 times in 17 meetings. Unfortunately, the German netter got a better performance on Wednesday and caught his 35-year-old Swiss netter opponent by surprise.
Federer last played in April at the Miami Open in Florida.
