Terence Crawford successfully defeated Felix Diaz in the 10th round of their fight to regain both his WBO and WBC championship belts. With his victory, Crawford is now 31-0 with 22 knockouts in his professional boxing career.
Many boxing fans are hoping that he can fight Manny Pacquiao soon.
“I’ve been saying that for years now. It’s not up to me. But everybody wants to know who’s the next guy that Terence Crawford wants to fight,” said Crawford as quoted by the news online. “I’ll fight anybody. It doesn’t matter who it is,”
Terence Crawford showed his dominance performance inside the boxing ring and did not give his opponent an opportunity to fight back. With a swollen left eye and obtained several body shots, the corner of Diaz made a decision to stop the fight in the 10th round of the bout.
On this, referee Steve Willis likewise discontinued the fight and declaring the American boxer as the winner.
Crawford revealed that he wants his next opponent either Manny Pacquiao or Kieth Thurman. This is however is he chooses to move higher than the 140-pound fight.
Same with Pacquiao, Bob Arum is also the promoter of the 30-year-old boxer from Nebraska. According to Arum, he might set a fight between Crawford and Julius Indongo this coming summer for the possible IBF and WBA 140-pound titles.
Indongo is the current IBF and WBA 140-pound champion.
Arum likewise stated that if Terence wins all 4 titles, they may consider a fight against the Filipino boxing champion.
