Ceres-Negros F.C. 2

Despite the effort of the Ceres-Negros team from the Philippine Football League (PFL), the Johor Darul Ta’zim defeated them with the final score of 3-2 at the Larkin Stadium in Johor Bahru.

Both teams are battling for the AFC Cup Asean Zonal Semifinals.

The Ceres-Negros football team managed to score a pair of goals, but the JDT are still leading the matchup with 3 goals already. The football team from Johor Bahru is the defending AFC Cup champion in 2015 and was able to overcome the effort of their Negros-based rival.

The almost 14,280 spectators inside the stadium enjoyed the matchup.

Gonzalo Cabrera made a crucial goal that gave the JDT a 3-2 lead after surpassing Roland Muller. Cabrera is a striker from Argentina and his goal made it comfortable for his team to control the tempo until the final buzzer of the game.

The Ceres-Negros had all the chance to win the game because of having a 2-1 advantage, but the resistance of their opponent gave way to steal the victory. Unfortunately, the Johor Bahru-based football players are more aggressive in the field.

If they want to advance to the next round, the busmen needs to win at least one game on May 31 at the Panaad Park and Stadium in Bacolod City.
