The Boston Celtics managed to control the game in the closing quarter to defeat the Washington Wizards with the final score of 115-105 on their do-or-die game 7 on Monday. With the win, the advance to the Eastern Conference Finals and will face the Cleveland Cavaliers in another scheduled 7-game series.

As expected, Celtics star point guard Isaiah Thomas Jr. led the team to seal their victory. Thomas scored 29 points and he made crucial 3-point shots that increased their lead and managed to keep the tempo until the final buzzer. Aside from him, Kelly Olynyk played an impressive game with his career-high 26 points in a playoff series. He is a huge factor in the 4th quarter and also made crucial baskets to keep their lead.

For the Washington Wizards, Bradley Beal led the team in scoring with 38 points, Otto Porter Jr. scored 20 points, while John Wall and Markieff Morris scored 18 points apiece. They are now eliminated in this NBA season.

The scheduled game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals will be on Thursday at the TD Garden.
