The game 3 between the Washington Wizards and Boston Celtics became so intense due to technical fouls. However, the Wizards managed to control their game and seal the victory with the final score of 116-89 on Thursday at the Verizon Arena in Washington, DC.
Their best-of-7 Eastern Conference Semifinals series is now 2-1 with the Celtics advantage.
The Washington Wizards needed to control their temper until the end game to assure their victory after defeating the Boston Celtics on Thursday in a technical-filled game 3. The officials called at least 8 technical fouls, which include the collision between Kelly Olynyk and Kelly Oubre Jr who knocked Olynyk with a hard offensive foul.
John Wall led the Wizards in scoring with 24 points, Otto Porter Jr. added 19 points, Marcin Gortat scored 13 points and Bradley Beal had 11 points for the game. The team needed the victory to prevent a 3-0 deficit and to keep their chances alive.
As for the Celtics, Al Horford scored 16 points, Jae Crowder scored 14 points and point guard Isaiah Thomas only managed to score 13 points for the game. They will need to play harder on Monday for the scheduled game 4 at the Verizon Center again, which gives the Wizards another home court advantage.
