The Pittsburgh Pirates managed to control the game against the Chicago Cubs and defeated them 4-2 on Friday at their Major League Baseball matchup. They were able to prevent a 5-game losing streak with the help of their key players.

The Pirates were able to score crucial plays and runs to assure their victory.

Francisco Cervelli and David Freese successfully scored individual run to have a comfortable lead of 4-2. Gerrit Cole likewise showed an impressive performance to help out the Pirates convincingly win the game by striking out five players and making two runs in the 6th innings. Tony Watson likewise played a great game for the Pittsburgh.

In the 6th innings, the Pirates are trailing against the Cubs 2-1 and this is the time when Freese and Cerveli scored points to even the matchup. Despite the efforts of Kyle Hendricks for the Cubs, the Pirates took control of the game until the final buzzer.
