The Japanese baseball team made a huge upset against the Australian baseball team by defeating them at the Word Baseball Classic on Wednesday with the score of 4-1. The Japanese has a slight advantage because of playing with a home crowd at the Tokyo Dome in Tokyo, Japan.

With their first round game win, they look good at the current tournament heading to their next matchup. The team Australia had a good home run score made by Allan de San Miguel after surpassing Seiji Kobayashi of Japan during the first inning. However, that was only the score of the Australian players because Yoshitomo Tsutsugo made two home run from pitcher Jon Kennedy at the 8th inning.

The Japanese continue to score when Sho Nakata scored a solo homerun again in the 7th inning. Another huge score came from Nobuhiro Matsuda in the 5th inning, which totaled the score of Japan to 4 and moving them into the standing with 2 wins.
