In a very surprising basketball performance, the New York Knicks managed to handle their composure until the end game to beat the San Antonio Spurs 94-90. The game became more meaningful when some of the former players of the Knicks are watching inside the Madison Square Garden.

The Knicks made some crucial defensive stops in the final quarter and this helped them seal the victory of Sunday. Carmelo Anthony led the team in scoring with 25 points, Derrick Rose added 18 points and young center Kristaps Porzingis scored 16 points with 7 rebounds for the game.

The fans inside the Madison Square Garden felt happy with the return of some of their favorite players, particularly Latrell Sprewell whose last appearance here is back in 2004.

As for the San Antonio Spurs, Kawhi Leonard led the team in scoring with 36 points, LaMarcus Aldridge scored 15 points with 10 boards and David Lee added 10 points for the game. The Spurs failed to set a record of 20 wins for this season after the loss.

The Knicks now has a record of 23-33 and will play against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday, while the Spurs now are 41-13.
