Celtics Survive Rondo, Bulls Late Onslaught 107-100
The Boston Celtics just survived the Chicago Bull’s late run 107-100. But despite the Celtics’ heroic win, Joe Crowder suffered from a left ankle sprain in the second quarter. Isaiah Thomas led the Celtics with 23 points and 10 assists. Amir Johnson added 23 points, which includes four three-pointers. It helped improve their standing, while the Bulls got their first loss of the season.
The Celtics played without center Al Horford. Horford was placed in the concussion protocol on Tuesday following showing signs of concussion during practice. Even though the late rally of the Bulls cut into the Celtics’ lead, it was not enough to nab the game. Jimmy Butler led the build with 23 points and nine rebounds.
The Celtics will play the Cleveland Cavaliers tomorrow, while the Bulls will play the New York Knicks on Saturday.
