Timberwolves Outlast Grizzlies To Bag First Win 116-80

The Minnesota Timberwolves led by Zach LaVine claimed their first win of the season, as they beat the Memphis Grizzlies 116-80. LaVine scored 31 points with five three-pointers. Gorgui Dieng added 17 points for the T-Wolves. Memphis’ head coach David Fizdale decided to rest Marc Gasol and Mike Conley. Tony Allen made his season debut after he missed the first three games due to a right knee injury.

Rookie Kris Dunn contributed 10 points, 6 assists and 5 steals in his first career start, as Rick Rubio is out due to sprained  right elbow he acquired in their last game. Andrew Wiggins also scored 17 points. On the other hand, Deyonta Davis led the Memphis with 17 points.

The Timberwolves’ next game is with the Denver Nuggets, while the Grizzlies are set to face the New Orleans Pelicans.
