Roger Federer vs. Marin Cilic Final Score
Roger Federer once again impressed the crowd at the Wimbledon after a huge comeback against Croatian Marin Cilic on Wednesday. The 7-time Wimbledon champion is down 2 sets before he was able to pick his rhythm and seal the victory after 5 sets.
He defeated Cilic with the final score 6-7(4), 4-6, 6-3, 7-6(9) and 6-3.
The Swiss netter regained his momentum on the 3rd set and defeated his 27-year-old opponent from Croatia in their quarterfinal matchup. With his win, he will now move to the semifinal round of the Wimbledon for the 11th times already.
World #9 Cilic actually had the better chance to beat the 7-time champion and world #3, but he allowed the 34-year-old tennis player from Switzerland to regain his composure after leading set 1 and 2. Their match took about 3 hours and 18 minutes before declaring Federer as the winner.
