Despite the undesirable performance of the New England Patriots before reaching the playoffs, they were able to bounce back and defeated the Kansas City Chiefs to have a spot in the American Football Conference (AFC) championship.
The Patriots assured their spot by defeating the Chiefs with the score of 27-20 for the AFC Division Playoff on Saturday. With their win, they are now again a contender for the title for the last 5 years. The Patriots are happy to have Julian Edelman and Rob Gronkowski to their lineup because of being out due to their injuries. Both players showed tremendous performances to help their teammate Tom Brady in sealing the victory.
The New England will be facing the Denver Broncos that defeated Pittsburgh Steelers 23-16 on Monday. Both Patriots and Broncos have identical 13 wins and 4 losses heading to the championship match this coming January 25, 2016.
