The Minnesota Timberwolves defeated the Phoenix Suns with the score of 117-87 to end their 9-game losing skid. They took advantage playing at their home court on Sunday at the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
The Timberwolves needed to win the game to make sure they will not suffer from their 10th straight losses. Two of their starters Andrew Wiggins and Ricky Rubio played well by scoring 18 points apiece. The team likewise got better scoring with Karl-Anthony Towns who had 14 points and Gorgui Dieng with 15 points. Despite the win, the Wolves still need to win more games because they remain at the bottom of the team standing with 13-29.
As for the Suns, they are still playing without their point guard Eric Bledsoe due to an injury who continue to sideline him. The team leading scorers include Brandon Knight with 20 points, Markieff Morris with 17 points and Devin Booker with 11 points. With their loss, they now have a record of 13 wins and 29 losses.
The Timberwolves will try to win back-to-back games against the New Orleans Pelican on Tuesday, while the Suns face the Indiana Pacers at home on Tuesday as well.
