Shane Mosley vs. Patrick Lopez Final Score
|Shane Mosley||Winner by Knockout|
Former 3-division boxing champion “Sugar” Shane Mosley delighted the crowd at the Roberto Duran Arena by knocking out his opponent Patrick Lopez on Thursday. The event held in Panama City is about the “KO to Drugs Festival” charity fight of the WBA. The former champion knocked out the 2-time Olympian from Venezuela on the 2nd round and then the referee stopped the fight after the 10th round KO.
Despite a cut on his head due to head butt, Mosley did manage to KOs Lopez in the 2nd and 10th rounds of their welterweight showdown. With his win, the former world champion has a record of 49 wins (41 via KOs), 9 losses and 1 draw. While Lopez has now a record of 23 wins (14 via KOs) and 6 defeats.
Mosley is now 44 years old and still feels happy competing with young boxers after coming out of his retirement in 2013. He believes that he can still fight against his tough former opponents like Floyd Mayweather Jr., Manny Pacquiao or Saul Alvarez. On the other hand, some boxing experts feel that Mosley does not have the power and strength to fight these active boxers.
